Problems with email accounts – RESOLVED

At 10:30am on 04 May we learned that there is an ongoing issue with the Fasthosts email servers. This has been affecting a small number of our clients trying to connect via their webmail accounts and also their mail client accounts (Outlook, Mail etc.). We too are also being affected by this issue.

Here is the latest update posted by Fasthosts:

  • 05 May – 12:00 – All systems are now up and running and all backed-up emails have been delivered.
  • 04 May – 14:38 – The current email delays are due to large queues of mail that built up during the early stages of this issue. The mail is being processed and the queues are reducing.
  • 04 May – 13:45 – Customers will now be able to access their mailboxes via webmail and email clients.
  • 04 May – 12:20 – Customers will now be able to access their mailboxes via webmail.

Issue: Customers are unable to connect to Webmail. This is affecting POP and IMAP connections. Our engineers are investigating this issue and are working to resolve this as soon as possible.
